Sometimes life is a ride
We live it best, done in stride
Sometimes things are smooth and grand
Other times there are curves, we didn’t have planned
Then there’s the ordinary day to day
Everything is A-Okay
There are times we may seem to be at a high
Other times a low, asking God, “Why?”
Then there are times we get to just nicely travel straight
An easy path, simple to take
But life is a journey, a ride through time
We don’t always know what God has in mind
Though the best journey we can make
Is the one in which with God we take
If we have Him along for the ride
We learn to take life, all in stride
Until the ride comes to a stop and the journey to an end
We will have had God, until He calls us to be with Him
Forever then, we’ll be at our resting place
As we look upon our Saviors face

The ride and the journey
Psalm 119:105 NIV
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Isaiah 40:31 NIV
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Hebrews 6:19 NIV
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
