Too many people place their faith on what other people tell them about God, without learning about God for themselves. Now when we are children or just learning about God it is okay to have extra guidance. Honestly, it’s always ok to have extra guidance. However, we cannot place our whole faith on what other people say about doctrine or their interpretation. We must pick up our Bible and read His word. I have also seen movies that have their own accounts and depictions of different stories in the Bible. Built on inaccuracies or where too many liberties were taken. Be careful friend. Just because something says it’s Christian, doesn’t mean it’s following Christ. There are those that hide under the robe of Christianity to deter people from the real faith. May we build our faith on His word, and not the word of man. May we learn scripture so well that the worlds confusion can’t sway us from God’s truth. For wisdom knows to go to the source and foolishness bases everything on hearsay. Let’s stay wise friends.

Stay biblically wise
1 Corinthians 4:6 NIV
Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other.
James 1:5 NIV
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Matthew 7:24 NIV
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
