Early mornings I would wake up. He’d still be in his hospital bed, fast asleep. I’d sit in the chair in his room and read my daily devotionals. Every day it was like God was speaking to me, telling me exactly what I needed to hear to encourage my overwhelmed, tired, and fearful heart. After I was done reading, I could feel God’s peace over me. Offering hope when I so very much needed it. My youngest was just a toddler and went through some health things. Ultimately God and His love healed my baby boy. Though I remember those hard days in the upper floor of the children’s hospital. I remember God’s comfort as I sat with Him daily. I think back to God’s comfort with gratitude. Then I think of my son now and I am grateful for God’s healing hands. How wonderful it is to be comforted, healed, and loved by the Creator Himself.
