We have gotten a lot of snow where I live. It’s been the heavier snow too. The kind that gives your arms a very good workout with a shovel. Well yesterday morning I heard the sound of a snowblower, upon looking out the window it was our neighbor cleaning up the snow from our driveway. He saved both my husband and I a lot of work and even spared us from some potential muscle pain. Often this same neighbor steps into helping us in any way that he can. Like our tree that recently had fallen, he helped us with that too. It is a tremendous blessing to have great neighbors. We also help when we are able too. The thing is we as humans we need each other. I believe when God said love thy neighbor as yourself, it meant caring for them and helping when we can. These neighbors of mine are good Christian people. I often see them helping others, not even just us. That’s the kind of neighbor we should all strive to be. The loving, Christ-like neighbor that God has called us to be. Friend, when we feel God leading us to be a helper may we step up and go where He calls. For truly it is a blessing for everyone involved when we love one another as God has called.
