God is good. Thanksgiving morning my husband stepped outside to take our dog out. It was then he had seen that our large pine tree had been taken down by the wind. I was surprised and concerned. Once we went to fully investigate, we were further relieved. Though we will have a project ahead of us taking care of the tree, we are praising God. It could’ve been so much worse. We’re grateful that the tree didn’t land on our neighbor’s house, or our house and it landed in the best possible way. Wow, God is incredible! We could gripe on how we lost an otherwise healthy tree that we liked. We could complain about the mess, money and work we will have to do to clean it up. Though honestly, we just are praising God that it happened in the way that it did. God is always looking out for us. We trust His reasons and we praise Him for His intercession. Friend, we can find reasons to complain, or we can look for the praise. We acknowledge that it happened, it is a bummer. But we praise God that everything happened safely. We are so very blessed to have God whom looks out for us so lovingly. I look out the window and I don’t just see a fallen tree; I see a blessing where there could’ve been danger. I see God’s love like a shield, protecting us.
