Know me Lord,

when that trumpet does sound

I want to be heaven bound

I want You to know me Lord

Because I truly walked with You

In all I did say and all I did do

That I didn’t follow culture

I didn’t pretend

I loved You truly, till the end

That I didn’t just believe

Or act ritualistic in what I did say

But that I truly walked only in Your way

That my Christian faith

Wasn’t a façade

That my faith was pure and about you, God

That I gave You praise

For You deserve it best

You truly make us blessed

That worldly pressure

Didn’t make me cave

You were my focus on how I did behave

I know I am not perfect

I don’t have everything figured out

But my love for You I don’t doubt

For many say they love You God

And that they believe too

Yet they choose not to live for You

For selfishness in this world

Seems to be its gain

They say they love You they proclaim

Yet no relationship

Seems to exist

Somewhere along, real love from them, got missed

I don’t want that to be me

I want to live and maybe someday

I can hear You say

I know you,

As you say so fervent
