In God’s safety

I had completed my first destination, then I found myself needing to make it to my next, back home. I began driving down some old country roads. If it weren’t for my GPS I would have been completely lost. Every turn seemed to bring me further in the unknown and I could feel my anxiety begin to creep in. What if my phone loses service and my map stops working. All the roads I kept taking seemed like it was taking me from the one place I wanted to be, home. I called my husband, just to hear his voice on the other line. Almost immediately I began to feel more at ease as he guided me along for reassurance on the other line. I made it safely home and when I got there, I said hello to my dog and then was greeted by my loving husband; I was home. I was grateful for that. This reminded me of the many times the road in my life had maybe seemed uncertain and I went to God in prayer. In doing so, I was comforted, more at ease, and I found peace in talking to God. For in the uncertainties of life, we can always be certain that God is always there for us, guiding us home to Him. May we always keep Him with us on this destination called life. For without Him, we are truly lost.

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
