Wolves in sheep’s clothing

If something doesn’t seem right, it is okay to research it for yourself. Recently I watched a video of a pastor, saying what her church believes. Her beliefs couldn’t be further from true doctrine. This concerned me as so many people come to church looking for God’s truth and spiritual guidance. It is churches like this that can really lead people astray. It is easy to say just read your Bible, although some people need more guidance in doing so and while others really have a dependency on others word for what it says. This can be dangerous, especially if the wrong person is guiding. There is an old saying about the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Unfortunately, there are wolves out there appearing to be of godly nature, but couldn’t be farther from Him. Especially in a place of position such as pastors, they should know the Bible and preach it correctly. I know that God holds them and those like them, to a higher standard. Although some people in this kind of authority don’t actually preach for God’s glory. Instead, they preach to appease the masses. That’s a dangerous slope for everyone and extremely anti-God. Years ago, I met a pastor like this. I told my dad I did not like this man and that there was something off about him. My dad would later agree with me. Our concern being how many people did this man lead farther from God? Be careful out there my friend. Not every Christian is Christ-like and not every pastor is preaching for God. May we use wisdom that God gives us, may we use knowledge in His word and may we pray that those we encounter that say they love God, really do. Let us keep our wits about us and watch how they act, what they speak and ask ourselves, does it really align with God?
