Christ-like

I was talking with my cousin who was venting to me about a concern he had with one of his neighbors. My response although not directly mean, was also not Christ-like, on how he should handle the situation. Being the man of integrity, he called me out and I am glad that he did. It humbled me, but in a good way. It was a reminder that even when people around you may not be being Christ-like that it does not give us the right not to be. I am human and I have to be reminded sometimes to be kind and full of grace, even with frustrating or unkind people. Friend, may we not lose our good character, from someone’s bad character. For in maybe doing so, we can help others see Christ in our behavior and change their way. Even if not, we will have remained faithful to whom God has called us to be. As Christians, our character must always be in step with our faith. I am often humbled by this. May we stay humble, stay kind, stay loving, and stay Christ-like.
