No compromise

I won’t compromise my morals, my integrity or my faith for someone’s feelings. You can’t prioritize feelings over reason. I’ve been noticing one thing lately that scripture and its truth have been diluted to accommodate feelings. Although if we love one another as we are supposed to, we must defend His truth, morality, principle to one another. This can be done with kindness and with love. Though some may argue that it is unloving to not agree with everything or not to cater to emotions, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. For truth is an incredible act of love. Read the Bible, read Proverbs. It isn’t meant to accommodate feelings. It is meant to lovingly steer us in the right direction, for our protection and to keep us connected to God both now and eternally. Just like when we correct our children when they’re wrong. We need to, because we love them. Tough love. We don’t do it meanly or cruelly. We do it lovingly, just as God does with us.  For if we are to love one another and even ourselves, we must prioritize wisdom over feelings. Yes, feelings are good, when they go hand in hand with wisdom. Friend, may we love and care enough to not compromise to the world’s standards of right and wrong. May the foundation of our standards, be from God and His word. For if we are to love one another and even ourselves than we must love enough to not compromise His truth, with emotions. If we are to truly love God, then we must obey His word, follow His teachings and not ever compromise it, to appease human behavior.
