To save the lost

Beaten and bruised

Stricken and abused

Mocked and slanderized

Spat at and ostracized

As nails pierced through His skin

All to save us from our sin

He holds the scars

That were meant to be ours

Yet often we pay Him no mind

Just acknowledge on our time

When it seems to suit our need

It seems human desire, supersedes

The One whom gave His life

To save us from deaths awful strife

What can we do, to make us realize

That we are saved, from sacrifice supplied

Will we ask Jesus in our heart

And truly from Him, not to part

For life is short, eternity forever

May our hearts from Him not sever

As He died for us, may we live for Him
