God must be so frustrated watching us go our own way
Only talking to Him for wants when we pray
Seemingly forgetting we all need construction
Yet, not always listening to His instruction
We pick and choose what we want to obey
Instead of listening to all He does say
We sit on the fence not fully committing to Him
Not fully ready to give up our sin
Lukewarm are we, when we don’t put Him first
Though not doing so, only brings out the worst
We ought to know better, haven’t we learned yet
What life is when our hearts on God are not set
I can picture Him there, calling out our name
Trying to protect us from sins hurt and shame
It must be hard, watching His children that He loves so much
Seem so distant and out of touch
How it must hurt when we are not all in for Him
When we prioritize sin
He is there knocking, telling us He loves us so
That He is here wanting to help us grow
To walk with Him and live our best
To try and help our brokenness
So we can have a better life here
That He truly does care
Though most of all to meet Him up above
So we can have a forever life of love
Wouldn’t it be great to always live for Him, this I do pray
My hope is that we learn to always walk in His way

Walk in His way
Galatians 5:16 NIV
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
Revelation 3:16 NIV
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Deuteronomy 5:33 NIV
Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
Psalm 119:105 NIV
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
