Jesus walked among the mess

Of sins pride and brokenness

He was tempted by sins temporary delight

Yet of God, He did not lose sight

He felt pain and sickness just like man

Though still held on to God’s plan

He walked through Hills and valleys

Through brokenness in broken alleys

Yet not once did He cave in

To the lies and deceit of sin

I want so much to have such a love

More for God and things above

To have such great restraint

To live in this world, and still be a saint

For Jesus walked among men He trod

Though He kept His focus always on God

More than anything, I would like to be

Is better than, simply me

To be like Jesus, firm in my foundation

My focus on love and salvation

To truly be Gods daughter

To have that faith, is what I am after

Jesus lived so pure, despite what surrounded Him

Knowing His purpose was to take away our sin

I want my love and purpose in God to always shine through

In all I say and in all I do

To be like Jesus, this I pray

To be with my Father in Heaven someday

To be like Jesus

Philippians 2:5-8 NIV

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
        even death on a cross!

1 Peter 2:21 NIV

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
