It is hard to be an overly compassionate person, in a uncompassionate world. Though there are many people that are kind, there are many that are not. Or some are ingenuinely kind. I have been disheartened at times with the realization that not everyone has my heart. There are great people that have a great care for others. Though there are also those that are selfish and don’t look past themselves. Sometimes in our hurt from others it can be tempting to become like them. Though I have learned that kindness has a way of rippling back to us and compassion has a way of changing hearts. Friend, may we not become discouraged over unkind hearts. For the best way to be is always like Jesus and to show love anyway. For maybe in doing so, we can soften hearts and bring them to Christ. Even if not, we will still have chosen to walk with God, instead of the wickedness of the world, and that will always be the best way to live. Maybe not everyone has a kind heart, though isn’t that, that much more of a reason that we should?
