I hope that they remember, the nights when they were so very small
The bedtime stories I told them, they were stories of my love after all
Just one more they would request
Those were the days where my stories were the best
The days too where we would sing songs together
Those moments will live in my heart forever
Or the times where they’d say can you push me again on the swing
It’s as though I were their wings
Homemade gifts like the homemade necklace I proudly wore
Every gift given, one to be adored
The pictures that I still put on my fridge for all to see
For these are masterpieces, all to me
Now these children of mine are growing up so fast
As I cherish them, wanting it all to last
Though someday soon enough I know they will be grown
And I will still be loving them, with love to be shone
For just as God will love us, no matter how big we get
Love through the ages, we won’t forget
For time ages, though love remains the same
Only deepening of it can be its change
Love unconditional that last throughout
For this is what loving our children is about
No matter the age or how big they get
Love that continues to grow, that doesn’t ever quit
I hope they remember, as they grow, I loved them then, and I love them still
I always have and I always will

Always loved
Friend, just as we love our children from the beginning to the end, God loves us. Though somehow, even more so. Every time we think of our love for our children, may we be reminded of His love for us.
Psalm 127:3 NIV
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
1 John 4:8 NIV
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
