Don’t get caught up

Sometimes I have to just stop. Stop reading the news and stop watching videos and social media clips. All the negativity, cynicism, division, hate, hurt. I read something not long ago that begged a good question. Maybe we’re not meant to know everything. Our hearts and our minds only able to process so much. It reminds me of the Bible verse Philippians 4:8, in which to really paraphrase, talks of focusing on things that are positive and pure. That doesn’t go to say not to be aware of what’s going on or not to pray or help if someone is in need. The problem is we often get sucked into the negativity, drama and hardships in the world that we lose sight of goodness and become consumed with stress and anxiety. Friend in our quest to know what is going on in the world, may we not be consumed with it. Its ok to sometimes take a step back. More importantly, remember that God is still in control and always will be.
