Dark chocolate covered pomegranate candy. There is often always a bag in our fridge, as my husband frequently keeps them in there for me. He does this because he knows they are my favorite. It’s a sweet gesture and another way to show his love for me. Love notes in the front pocket of his lunchbox. Every day, I have one for him. I want him to always be reminded of my love. These are just some of the ways my husband and I show love in action. Life can be busy, and doing these small gestures is a reminder of our love, even in the hurried moments. Friend, love is more than words. It’s in action. It’s a kind gesture, a thoughtful sentiment, maybe even a love note. God has blessed us with loved ones. May we always remind them how much we cherish them. May we not stop there either. May we also show love and kindness to strangers, too. Holding doors for others, being generous with what we can, offering a kind and encouraging smile or words. We can say we love, but are we putting it into action? For what is love without it?

1 John 3:18 NIV
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
