My husband and I were reading Proverbs in the Bible last night. We talked about how the Bible really doesn’t sugarcoat anything. As it really doesn’t. It doesn’t try to appease everyone or tiptoe around things. It’s pure, honest and tells it like it is. Though it does so from a place of protection, wisdom and love. God intended it that way. He didn’t try to fit the human mold of pleasing everybody. He did it in a way written of love and honesty. As a true guidebook to help us navigate life here and give us hope in the hereafter. Friend, may we stay in His word and strive for following it. Knowing that in it is truth, guidance and wisdom. There are those in this world that may try to change His word to appease or even tiptoe around His word as not to offend. Though the Bible is not to be changed, it’s perfect just the way it is; may we see it as such. May we revere His word. and know that every word was written in love and for our good.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Hebrews 4:12 NIV
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Deuteronomy 4:2 NIV
Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
