The Declaration of independence was written on this day, 249 years ago. I will share an excerpt from it. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” It really gets me thinking about how grateful to God I am to live in a country with so much freedom. A country where we can have a voice. A country that allows me to love God openly and freely, without fear. I am sure that there is so much more I could write, but I am going to leave you with this; friend, today is a day to celebrate. Whether with fireworks, picnics, or just relaxing with loved ones; it is a day to commemorate everything that our great country stands for. God gives us freedom and we are blessed in the USA to be able to praise Him openly and joyfully. So, as we celebrate the 4^th of July, may we take a moment of gratitude for our country and its freedoms and those in which help keep it that way.
