A man came into my salon recently with quite the story to be told. In conversation, we got to talking about his upcoming wedding. Though as he told it, he did so initially, not very happily. He told me how his wedding plans had to be changed. In short, this was his story. It started with him getting fired from his job, from my understanding this was due to new management at his place of employment. While leaving that work place, already feeling defeated, right in front of where he worked, he got into a car accident. To make matters worse, being that he was in the security business, his pepper spray, went off into his eyes. So there this poor man was, not too far from his wedding date, no job, a totaled car, hurt eyes and left feeling completely hopeless. Though see that’s only part of the story. Fast forward a little while later, things changed. The man had to cancel his venue, as he needed the money for a new car. Normally, that particular venue keeps a good sum of the money in the deposit, when someone cancels. However, the owner just so happened to be in that day and took pity and gave him his whole deposit back. He was able to buy a nicer vehicle than the one he originally had. Also, his job he thought he lost for good, actually promoted him with a significant raise. Hie eyes recovered and actions were taken to not have a pepper spray incident again. The man and his fiancé were able to plan for a much more affordable and smaller wedding at a different venue. They would then later have a beautiful backyard reception. It all seemed to work out for him. Friend, in the moment, when things are not going as planned, it is easy to feel defeated. Though it just means God is working on a different plan, we just need to trust Him, even when it seems hopeless or difficult. This man’s wedding is sometime in the near future and I am sure it is going to be great and he will have quite the story to tell his kids someday. If things are not going your way or how you’d hope, hang tight, He’s working it all out for your good.
