He’s got it all worked out

I think I got almost every red light earlier today while my son and I were out running errands. After a while it was almost comical and my son and I started laughing. I don’t know if God was teaching me patience or protecting me from something ahead. Maybe both, or it was just the way it worked out. Though we chose to just laugh it off.  I trusted that in one way or another, there was a purpose in it. It’s so easy to get caught up in the moment, and lose sight that God plans all moments. We as humans tend to be in a hurry and tend to like plans. When they don’t go our way, we forget it’s because God had a better plan for us. Maybe He was protecting my son and I from a crazy driver. Maybe He was simply slowing me down, as to just stop sometimes and be patient. I don’t always know God’s reasons, but I trust His plan. Whether I’m driving around getting things done, planning out my day or whatever it is I’m doing or going through, I know God has it all worked out.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
