He sat in a boat, with a once troubled young man. In fact, a former gang member. Others would have probably turned this young man away. Though this man sat in the boat, taught the young man how to fish. Believing in the power of guidance, and most of all, redemption. For how many times has God sat in the boat with us? In our sin and our mistakes, God sat on the boat, guiding us. Leading us to redemption and a better way of life. The young man cried happy tears and laughter rang through. For he knew it was the start of something new. It was more than catching fish, it was saving a soul. God is always with us, inviting us to come along with Him. Just as this young man once filled with regret, saw hope and restoration for his soul. Friend, may we not be so quick to look down on broken people. May we too remember the many times God sat with us. May we remember that He still does and there is always hope and redemption in Him.
