Ever since I was a very young girl I was taught about God and faith. However, aside from being told the Bible stories that most know, I wasn’t really led in God’s word; the Bible. When I was young, I remember sitting in youth group and we got to the chapter of Job. Well, I didn’t pronounce it right. I think you can imagine how I read it incorrectly, in front of everyone in the room. Naturally, being young, there was laughter involved. I, however, was embarrassed and felt foolish. Though I’m sure the intent of my fellow peers wasn’t meant to be so harsh, it struck me. Somehow all of them knew the Bible much more than myself. And I felt inadequate. I have learned since, that we are all on our own journey with God. Some seem to know His word, yet, lack the relationship. Some seem to have a relationship with God, but still have yet to fully learn His word. Others, fall somewhere in between. While others, maybe having a good dose of both. Though something about faith and walking with God, is that it can always grow deeper. We need to spend more time encouraging others and helping them grow their faith and more time growing in our own too. May we not compare. May we just uplift one another and help each other in our walk with God.

Galatians 6:4 NIV
Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else,

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
