My kids recently had their last day of school for the year. Where has time gone? I have learned that having children and watching them grow, seems to run on its own time. One in which seems to be far faster than standard. It’s as though when it comes to our children, time is sped up and we are left wondering where it all went. Though every moment during the journey of having children, is the most precious time spent. Children truly are a reward from God. We must always cherish them as such and enjoy all the years we have with them; shaping them into becoming good men and women after God’s heart, helping them with life skills and honestly just enjoying every milestone. So someday when they are all grown up, we will have prepared them for their lives here and hereafter. Also, so someday we will know that time does go fast and that we would have not done them a disservice in their faith or quality time with them. Though my kids are still not yet full grown, I know they are another year closer to being so. I want to know that I have used all of this fleeting time with them to the fullest. For I know soon enough they will be grown and though I will love them the same and I will still see them, the dynamic will change as they become men. When I ask myself then where time has gone, I will know it was well spent. For truly they are a blessing from God and I will want to know I will have raised them right and enjoyed every milestone.
