Mindless scrolling to preoccupy the mind
Though for Him, we don’t seem to have time
So much to read, though not His word
As though we try to keep Him obscured
Though maybe we just are too distracted
Worldly things we are attracted
What to watch, we seem to ask
As we fill our minds with sin and trash
We sing catchy melodies, but do we listen
Is goodness, purity, praise our mission
I too am faulted with such things
Instead of having God as my everything
We must do better and walk with Him
In a world that is consumed by sin
We need God it is true
In all we say and all we do
May we put our focus on who matters most
The Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Everything else will go away
Do we want to be with God someday
Then we must stop putting Him last
For someday, we will surely pass
When we do, did we walk with Him
Or were we too, preoccupied with sin

Deuteronomy 10:12-13 NIV
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
