When I was a little girl, I was horribly shy. I would hide behind my mom when anyone said anything to me. Though I am not as shy as I used to be, sometimes I catch myself reverting to my old ways. My shyness has stopped me over the years from reaching my full potential. It has also made me miss out on opportunities for real friendships. Worse of all, I know there are times where I could have done more for God’s glory; but instead, I got in my own way. Though I don’t believe we all need to be incredibly social, I do believe we must be bold when God calls us to be. We must trust Him with where He leads us. I am still working on this. Friend, if you’re like me, may we be consistently bold for His glory. May we step out of our comfort zone when He calls us to. May we allow Him to fully lead us, and in doing so, truly allow God to work within us and through us.

2 Timothy 1:7 NIV
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
