Carried in Safety

When I was quite young, my older brother who was just a couple of years older than myself, were out for one of our bike rides. Though I’m not sure exactly how it happened, I had managed to ride my bike downhill and right into a pricker bush. I was covered in prickers and crying. In pain, I didn’t want to ride my bike home. So, my brother leaving our bikes behind, carried me all the way home in his arms. Which was a decent amount of distance. When we got there, he was crying too. He didn’t like to see me in pain. I’m grateful for my brothers care that day. I know my weight was heavy in his arms, yet, he lovingly carried me to safety.

This got me thinking about how God is always there for us in our time of need. He always is ready to go the distance for us and carry us to safety. He doesn’t like to see us in pain. He wants us to go to Him and trust that He will carry us through it, in whatever way that He knows is best. No matter how heavy the weight of our burden; God is our strength, comfort and place of safety. May we go to Him in the good, and know that we can depend on Him too when things hurt or are hard. For God truly is good, dependable, and will always be there for us, carrying us with His love.

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
