We played ball with my dog yesterday. I don’t know who was enjoying the good game of fetch more; my husband and I or our dog. The birds were singing, the temperature was comfortable, it was peaceful. It may have been not an extraordinary moment, though it was joyous. The other day my youngest son snuggled up near to me and just him and I watched a movie. It was special and as he’s growing up, I don’t take those moments for granted. My oldest son and I have a day of shopping coming up and I look forward to it. Just some special one on one with my oldest. I know before long he will be grown and need me less. Though big fun moments can be special, so can small ordinary ones. Sometimes it’s a day outside, quality time and just enjoying the people God has blessed us with. Friend, we don’t always need grand adventures. Sometimes the greatest ones, are the simple moments spent with our loved ones we hold the closest to our hearts. May we remember to cherish all the special moments, whether big or small. For they truly are blessings from God.
