Last year I had a major health scare, and I almost didn’t make it home from the hospital. Though God and His goodness spared my life and I’m grateful for it. For there is so much more I’d like to do yet here. I went home feeling a lot of emotions. Both trying to process what had happened and a tremendous amount of gratitude. I remember so vividly my husband pulling into our driveway. Looking up, I was not only home, but I was reminded of something special. As I had looked at our Japanese Cherry blossom tree, there were pink flowers all decorating its lush leaves. It brought me added peace and joy that day. Looking back, it was as though a reminder that God makes everything beautiful in its time. That even when we go through hard seasons, the flowers will bloom again. God is working it all out. Friend, if you’re going through something hard right now, hang tight. Sometimes flowers, like the beauty in our lives, need a little time to work themselves out and bloom again.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
