I had a great day with my husband yesterday. From early in the morning until we went to bed. He had taken the day off work for family time, and it was such a blessing. We were able to spend time with the kids and one on one with each other. Sometimes in the busyness of work and life we don’t always get the time to really slow down and connect as much as we’d like. Especially not during the week. For those that have significant others, I’m sure you can relate. Life keeps us busy and sometimes our spouses take a back seat. Though not intentionally, we just get caught up in our responsibilities and just life. Though it is important to focus on such matters, may we in doing so, not forget about our spouses. For when we are staying connected to the one in which God blessed us with, it helps lessen the load and bring more joy. Friend, even if we can’t take a random day off as much as we’d like to, it’s important to always find time to cherish our spouse.

Matthew 19:6 NIV
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
Genesis 2:18 NIV
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
