Washed clean

Have you even gone to a beach and discovered beautiful rocks? At first, they appear to just be covered in sand and their beauty not fully seen. Then, when you wash them in the water, what’s revealed is so much beauty. Rocks of different colors, shapes, each with their own markings; though all of them beautiful. It is easy to walk past these rocks and not give them much thought. Sometimes we as people do this to others. We look at people and we see the dirt they’re covered in; their past sins, assumptions that we make about them, judgements that we create, or we simply just don’t acknowledge them at all. Though God, He sees us, He looks at us and washes us clean. He sees us as worthy and beautiful, as His creation. Like the beautiful rocks we find at the beach and take home with us, He too wants to wash us clean and take us home with Him. Friend, as humans we all have been dirty, and it is His grace and love that washes us clean. It is through His love where our beauty can shine. May we see each other through the same loving lens of God and remember we too are like those rocks, needing to be lovingly washed by God’s love. In His love, is where our beauty can shine.

Hebrews 10:22 NIV

let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
