Do you ever wake up and hit the ground running? You get up, your day starts along with a bunch of things to do. Though it is a blessing to have a job to go to, a home to tend to, and most of all a family to care for. That doesn’t mean we don’t get tired sometimes though. My husband frequently amazes me. He works long days and long hours. He doesn’t complain, he is grateful for his job and the ability to care for his family. Then he comes home from work and helps both our children and myself in whatever ways we need it. Not to mention he makes time for late night games of checkers with our youngest son, and playing ball outside. He helps our oldest with homework and plays baseball with him. He even makes time for our animals. Just to name a few, out of the many things he does. I don’t know how he does it, though I’m grateful for it. Though I am not unaware of how often he wakes up and hits the ground running. I know it is God that sustains him and gives him the ability to do what he does. Friend, life can keep us busy and on our toes. We need God to help us through it. May we remember to lean into Him and ask for His strength to help give us what we need, to do all that we’ve been called to do. For we truly do need Him.

Psalm 28:7 NIV
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
