Something I love about compassion is its ability to show genuine care through the lens of love. It also can at times offer a different perspective, that can allow room for grace. Recently, someone upset me. At first, I was angry and then I was a little hurt. Then something occurred to me. This very person whom was being unkind, I know has some issues that she’s dealing with. The more I thought about it, the more I realized it had less to do with me. It also made me think of the ways I have been blessed. Then I started to feel bad for her. I began to see a different perspective. Though it didn’t give her a right to be unkind, it sure allowed room for compassion. I hope that she gets things sorted out. In the meantime, I know I need to pray for her.
