Work of art

I enjoy looking at paintings. There are so many beautiful ones. Portraits, nature, abstract and the like. All different forms of mediums used, in different arrays of color. Though I always wondered how their worth is decided. Who can say that one painting is worth little, while another is worth much. Especially being that the beauty of the paintings, is in the eye of the beholder. Though I don’t know if I will fully understand how appraisers, historians or curators come up with their values, it got me thinking. We are God’s works of art, and He deems us priceless and beyond any worldly amount. We are so valued; we are to die for. I’m glad our worth is in what God says, and not the world’s opinion. The world is fickle and may bid to low on our worth. Though God, the ultimate artist, created us and He deems us priceless. Friend, look in the mirror, you’re a beautiful piece of art, created by God himself. So, whether what the world says, find your value in Him. For it is there you can see just how worthy you are. For you truly are, a beautiful work of art.
