I watched a video where a little girl got a prosthetic leg. She eagerly went to school to show all of her friends and classmates. Many of the children ran to the little girl excitedly in celebration. They hugged her, ran with her, cheered for her. I dare say they were just as happy as she was, to see the little girl have more mobility. What a wonderful thing to celebrate with others for the good in their lives. We live in a world that has a tendency to try to compete or to be the best above everyone else. Though the best person to compete with, is no one. We must do our best and encourage others to do their best. We must not just want the best for ourselves, but others too. For how much better and more beautiful life is when we walk with each other with encouragement. Just as God encourages us daily, we must do so for each other. Just as God looks out and wants what best for us, we must want what’s best for one another. I watched as the little girl, arms locked in with her friend, ran around on that playground. How much better it was, to celebrate her new joy, with a friend whom shared the joy with her. For shared joy, is a contagious act of love.
