I woke up this morning with one of my favorite Christian songs on repeat in my mind. I felt peace over me, peace that I so needed. My oldest son has been fighting a virus and as a mom I have been a little on edge with worry and fatigue. I have spent time praying for him to be healed and tending to all his needs, the best that I can. Though I don’t remember my dream, I woke up feeling a sense of peace. Almost as if God reminding me, He’s got this. Like He just gave me an extra amount of peace for this worried mama. Though I trust God is healing him, it’s still hard watching my children when they’re sick. Though that’s part of being a parent. We go as far as we can go, doing our best along the way. Then some things happen out of our hands. It is times like this when we do what we can on our end and surrender the rest in Gods loving, capable hands. I walked past my son’s room and heard some laughter at whatever he was watching. I know that he still doesn’t feel good. Although, he had a hard time laughing yesterday he felt so crummy. So, I smiled as I walked past his door. Trusting God to bring more laughter and healing tomorrow. Whatever He decides I trust His love for my children. Friend, there is a lot of sickness going around. It is so difficult when those we love are unwell. Although the best thing we can do for them is our best. Caring for them the best that we can. Most importantly, trusting them with the one who cares for them most, God. Going to Him in prayer and trusting that He will heal them in the best way possible, in His will and in His time. For sickness may come, but God is near. May we always call on Him, knowing, that He can provide the peace and healing that we seek. I listened to this song a few times today and though the words don’t fit in exact, it provides the peace I need as we work towards healing.
