I don’t want to think of what could’ve happened the other day. My family could’ve been put in harm’s way. My husband’s tire blew while driving down the highway. By God’s grace, my husband was able to pull over safely. Though we had the resources to put on a donut tire, the lug nut was stuck. Fortunately, after driving with the kids all day and even at one point my oldest driving, the kids were not with, when the event happened. Which is good, as it took some time for help to arrive and the area was somewhat desolate. By God’s grace someone showed up and had a tool to help get the lug nut free and the donut tire on, to get my husband home. I think about how this could’ve ended up so much worse. An accident could have ensued with the blown tire. Although it is evident that God was looking out for them all. That He had it all under control. We don’t mind buying a new tire, we’re just grateful that everyone is ok and that things didn’t end up worse. I can’t help but to ask myself how many times God looks out for us, our well-being, and our safety. Sometimes we don’t even know that He did. Maybe there’s been times where we’ve been stuck behind a slow driver and it shielded us from an accident. Or maybe our alarm clock didn’t go off and it kept us out of harm’s way. Or maybe our favorite food was sold out and saved us from getting food poisoning. So many scenarios where God has looked out for us and our loved ones. May we remember to always pray for those we love and to put our trust in God. May we especially thank God for the known and unknown times that He has shielded, protected and cared for us. For our God is good and we are so blessed to have Him who so greatly cares for us.

Psalm 121:5-8 NIV
The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
