Lifted up in His love

The enemy whispers in my ear. Filling my mind with negative thoughts. Telling me I’m not good enough. I’m not doing enough. I am failing. I need to do better. I need to be better. All these negative thoughts have a tendency to consume me when I already am feeling a little defeated. Then, as though fighting against these horrible thoughts, I hear words of hope, echoing from inside of me. You are good enough; that’s why you were given life. You are doing enough. Even if you do make a mistake, you’re learning and doing your best. You are not a failure, you are worthy. You do measure up. You are more precious than you know. Then I am reminded of all that I am given and all my blessings in my life. Friend, the enemy works really hard on trying to tear us down. Though we must have that relationship with God. For in doing so, it helps us stand strong against the enemies’ schemes. So, we can hear God’s voice of love, reason, and hope. Friend, if you find yourself being attacked by the enemy’s hate, may you go to God, the author of love. For it is in His love, where we can stand firm against the enemy. For as the enemy tries to tear us down, may we be lifted up in God’s love.
