I have found that as I get older, the wiser I become about much. Though, I am still learning in my walk with wisdom. I have learned that discretion is a tool that must be utilized. I have learned to not just go off of what people say. To do my research and make formed opinions. I have also learned that God gives us peace on these matters. I have learned you cannot believe everything that you hear and that actions speak volume. I have learned that respect is an act of kindness and not necessarily agreeance. I have learned that to respectfully disagree opens doors for hurt feelings but we never must compromise our beliefs, our morals and our faith. For I have learned that being kind allows for boundaries done with love and being nice as not to offend can compromise truth. I learned that the Bible is the greatest tool and navigator for life. I have learned that prayer is a place of refuge and of praise. I have learned that life is uncertain, but we can be certain in God’s dependable love. I have learned that if I don’t walk with God, it’s like wandering and always feeling lost without any destination or purpose. I have learned love is a lot of everything and isn’t always easy, with those that seem bad in our eyes. Although when we learn to master love even in adversity or hurt, we find the meaning of what love is. How strong God’s love is for us. There is still much I am learning and have yet to learn. Though I have found that my favorite part about growing older, is the wisdom that grows alongside me. I am grateful to God for the passing years to learn much until He calls me home. I hope that I am bold enough to share what I’ve learned along my journey. Maybe some will figure out sooner than I did about some things. Although wisdom isn’t a competition, it’s a reward. One we should constantly be seeking. God is always ready to offer it. Friend, may we be open to receiving it. More importantly, applying it.
