Loving animals

My dog has not wanted to leave my side since I’ve been sick. Although I haven’t been able to give her a lot of attention due to this, she just loves being near me. Just comforting me with her presence and following me around as to ensure my safety. She’s so sweet and I’m grateful for her. Our pets are truly a blessing. They are a great source of therapy. They seem to sense when we’re sick, sad, or hurt. Whether our pets are a dog, cat or whatever they may be. It’s almost as if God knew we’d need just a little extra love and care. Now I know that a pet isn’t for everybody, for different reasons. However, animals in general are a blessing. The birds singing in the morning a beautiful melody. Silly squirrels that chase each other as we watch with amusement. Deer that peacefully graze, giving us a sense of peace. Whether domesticated or wild, animals are a blessing. Whether as a pet to be enjoyed in the home, a wild animal to be enjoyed from a distance or a mix of both, may we treat them all with kindness. For God has truly blessed us with them.

Genesis 1:25 NIV

God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
