Do I love enough
Do I care
Do I love like Jesus
Everywhere
Am I the hands
Am I the feet
Helping all
Everyone I meet
Am I consistent
Do I love at all times
No matter the person
The sin or the crime
In my anger
Or frustration
Do I use it
As justification
To not love
As I should
The same way
That Jesus would
Do I love the way
I have been called
Or in my differences
Does love get stalled
Do I choose love
Even if I disagree
With someone’s thoughts
Different than me
If someone goes against God
Do I choose hate
Or choose love instead
To reciprocate
For isn’t it better
To give love instead
To not just think with emotion
But to use our head
For as God is the judge
We must not choose hate
We must walk away with love
Not retaliate
Leave it all in God’s hands
And choose to love one another
For that’s what He’s called
Of each other
Do I love at all times
I contemplate
For I hope I choose love
When I could’ve chose hate
