Perspective, a word that changes the way I
see
That things are bigger than what revolves around “me”
For it gives me a new set of lenses
Helping me to get to my senses
That there is more than sometimes meets the eye
We must choose to see a different view, we must try
Life is complex, people especially
Sometimes there is more than what we can at first see
May we choose eyes of compassion, a different sort of view
In all we say and all that we do
May we choose the lenses of love
Make others heard, valued and thought of
May we choose to see the bigger perspective
To have love our incentive
For God so lovingly put us first
Instead of seeing only the worst
May we too change the way we see
That it’s not always all about “me”

The way we see it
Philippians 2:3-5 NIV
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
