A little boy, around nine years old sat in my chair at the salon. We made small talk which led to him telling me about his mom, who was home healing from being sick. I asked him if he had made her a get-well card, to which he replied, “no, but I prayed.” I assured him that, that, was the best thing he could do. I later told his dad what he said and commended him for it. How great it is to hear a young child pray on their own free- will; knowing, that God is the One in which we can depend. I love it when children, mine included, place their confidence and trust in God. When their faith is strong and God is their first go-to. I am confident that this boy’s mom will continue to recover. Although, I am also confident that her son’s prayer made a difference. Friend, it is so important that we teach our children about the power of prayer. That way, they always know to go to God; in both the hard times and the good times. For what a wonderful thing to witness, to see a child having conversations with God.
