We plan our future like a map set in stone. Forgetting that plans are hopes written in pencil, subject to change. We can plan and we should. Although we must also leave room for God’s plans. For though sometimes ours align with His, other times, He has something different in mind. Even though we can’t always grasp it, His plans are always for our good. Friend, as we navigate life, sometimes there are detours, new paths and new roads we didn’t expect. Although if we are living our lives walking with God, we can have peace knowing that wherever our map of life takes us, is right where we are supposed to be. Not too long ago I found myself on an unexpected dirt road filled with unexpected obstacles and road bumps. Although I’m still learning His purpose for the change of direction, I trust Him as my navigator. I may not be where I’d thought I’d be, but I am at peace where I am and I trust Him with where I’m headed. May we plan our best and give God the rest. For He can see what’s ahead and He can best take us on that best path. May we also remember who our navigator is on this journey called life. For when we stay connected to Him, the destination will always be worth it.
