I had offered some of my favorite fruit covered chocolate candy to my youngest son. While he had reached in the bag with one hand, while holding it with the other; he had spilled. There was a good handful scattered around him on our kitchen floor. I could hear his, “oh no!” from the living room. He immediately apologized, even acknowledging that he knew it wasn’t cheap. It was actually a special treat from my husband. I assured him that it was ok, just to clean it up. So, we both did together. Accidents happen and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spilled things. Friend, we need to offer each other grace. We’ve all needed it at some time or another. I personally know that God has offered me a lot of it. May we show compassion, knowing that we too make mistakes. For is that not what God offers us?
