When presents were wrapped with ribbons and bows,
As piled high the presents did grow
I heard something from within me say
Do you remember the meaning of Christmas day
When you placed the presents under that tree
Did you still remember me
When you stressed more about the gifts, even when money was tight
Just so worried of making Christmas feel just right
Did you forget the greatest gift you did receive
Please tell me this true gift you can perceive
Remember, it was not wrapped under a tree, but born in a manger
To give us true life and safe us from sins danger
A babe, born on Christmas day, that would be the Savior of all
Something that cannot be bought at a mall
As the presents were nice and such a blessing it’s true
Something was missing Lord, and I know it was you
So as I sat on my chair, right next to my Christmas tree
I said thank you Lord, for not forgetting about me

Remember Christ
Luke 2:7-11 NIV
and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
