I recently heard a story of a group of church choir members that for varying reasons, were all late for their choir practice. Every single one of them. That day a fire had end up happening in the church, when and where they would have been practicing. Those inconveniences or situations that made those choir members late, were shielding them from danger. All of them survived, thanks to their delays. Although we all know that it was divine intervention, God protecting them. Friend, sometimes it seems like we are not where we want to be or like we are being delayed. Although what we don’t always realize, is that God has a plan and a purpose. When things seem to not be working out the way that we wanted, may we trust that God has His reasons. Those choir members may have been initially frustrated, although they later realized God had protected them. Whether we get to see God’s reasons revealed or not, may we trust in His Goodness and His plans.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Romans 8:28 NIV
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
