For years I searched for a love, that was always right beside me. A love that would fill the empty void inside of myself. Though no matter how much attention or love that I received from others, it never was fully enough. For the void I felt, could only be filled with God’s love. It was not until I began a real relationship with God did I feel a sense of completeness. One that nothing or nobody could offer. A love that was walking beside me the whole time. It was God. It was always God. He looked out for me, even as I wasn’t looking to Him. It is now in His love and my relationship with Him where I feel wholeness; no matter what is going on around me. Friend, the love we feel for our loved ones here is essential, important and wonderful. Although out of all of our relationships with people, our relationship with God must come first. For if we find our wholeness in Him, everything else falls into place. When we know we are fully loved by God and we love Him fully, we can also best fully love others. May we find our wholeness in Him, who makes us whole.
