What if we looked at people and thought, “that’s someone’s child” no matter their age? Would we treat them with more care and compassion? Would we be there for them more, especially when in need. If we see a homeless person, someone with a disability struggling, or somebody just going through a hard time, would we offer more help? Or even just simply being kinder and more compassionate to any and everybody that we meet. As a mother, I look at people at times, particularly those in need, and I think that’s someone’s child. That person is loved. Just as I deeply love my own children. The question is do we all see them like someone’s children; or do we choose to just see what we think we know of them? Do we truly even see them at all? Though it’s true we are all someone’s child, we are most importantly, God’s children. Do we see each other as such, or are we too focused on ourselves? Friend, we are God’s children. Are we showing love and compassion to one another as we should?
