It was quiet, except for my music that played. Our kids were busy in other rooms of our house. I had been doing dishes, as my husband folded the laundry. I walked over to him and asked him for a dance. So, there we were slow dancing in our living room. It was an unexpected moment. One in which brought us closer in the business of this life. Life has a way of pulling spouses in every direction. It seems that our to do lists take up most of our time. Marriage is a blessing from God. Yet, so often we do not take near enough time to fully soak up the blessing of it. Our spouses should be honored and cherished, like the gifts from God that they are. May we remember in this hustle and bustle of life, to make time for our spouses. Maybe it can be a wonderful evening out, maybe even a wonderful evening in, watching a great movie together. Or maybe even a few minutes of slow dancing in the middle of your living room. Friend, may we make time, to take the time, with the one in which God has blessed us with, to love in that very special way.
